Gay Christians

Okay I really doubt people are reading this but I like to think they do.

I am not a uber Jesus freak but I don't see how a homosexual cannot be a Christian. Its like saying they are not worthy of Gods love that he "promised" every one.

John McCall of Lewisburg Tennessee is a gospel singer, he was number one on myspace's top artist list at one point in time. He has a blog titled "Gay Christians-What Does The Bible Say?" link here.

For those of you who do not want to read his uber long blog here are some quotes.

"Openly gay men appointed to high office in the church - is this something Christians should be shocked by, or a cultural openness we should all embrace? There was a time when the very idea would have been treated with alarm and denial, but today the numbers of people who claim to love Christ while living in homosexuality are growing. What is the truth? What does God have to say about gays and gay Christians?"

What the fuck is shocking about gay people? They have been around for ages and well remian to stay around. God was a man, I am not sure if he was/is all people and the Bible say he is but I know there are tons of verses in the Bible about how God loves every one that has faith. Here is an example:

-And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. - 1 John 4:16-

Love is not about gender or weither or not we can reprouduce together. It is about emotions and feeling things we can not help feeling. If God did not want same sex couples why does he let them feel that way? I know he gave us free will but we can't chose who we are attracted to for the most part. The feelings we get when we see some one at a first glance or as you bump into them in a crowded hall are things that we just get, I am not sure how they come about but I am pretty sure they are something we cannot help feeling.

People that use the Bible as an exscuse to bash on gays need to be like ban from posting blogs and such, or at least on a public place where people who read it may be offended. To be honest people that use the internet to bash on any minority of people should have there IP addresses blocked from posting things like blogs on myspace or blogger. People who are homosexuals don't want to have to worry about reading stuff like that and getting all upset.

Hate is one thing the world has enough of already, stupid people getting on websites and creating more of it is really unneeded not to mention immature and petty. People should be able to go out and be happy about themselves with out the fear of being made fun of or worst case sinerio physically hurt. Hate crimes are terrible.

What if your best friend or a sibling came out to you? Would you treat them the same, or cut them off? You liked them before you knew so what makes them different?

My friend Tim P. is a Bisexual and he has a quote on his myspace, I am not sure if he made it up or if he found it but it really made me think when I read it.

Here it is:

Homophobia:
A severe condition, usually found in Republicans and most of American culture, leading one to:
-inaccurately use bible quotes for the justification of killing homosexuals
-restrict the rights of millions
-incessantly call things "GAY"

Why can't people just shut up and deal. No matter how you cut it homosexuals are here, they will always be here and nothing you say or do will change that. I know that it also applys to me being upset about it but I have a voice just like you exept mine does not condem people for who they love.

FYI IM STRAIGHT :]
